Galway, is Ireland’s fourth largest city and the largest urban centre on the western seaboard of Ireland, with a population of almost 80,000 people.
The medieval university city, which is known as ‘The City of the Tribes’ is situated on the River Corrib on the west coast of Ireland in the Province of Connacht.
Galway City is a thriving, bohemian, cultural city. Along with being a popular seaside tourist destination with beautiful beaches and a long winding promenade, it also has a buzzing cosmopolitan city centre with a thriving social scene.
It is therefore no surprise that Galway is one of Ireland’s fastest growing cities. It is expected that the city region will grow to accommodate approximately 120,000 people by 2040.
