Vannes

Promoted seven times in ten years by the monthly magazine L’Entreprise in its list of the French cities that are most attractive for business, Vannes finished once again at the top of the list of cities in its category (80 to 150,000 inhabitants).

This economic vitality, based on strong demographic expansion, an exceptional environment, and a strategic position 100 km from the major cities in Brittany, is combined with strong growth of the economic fabric and new commercial real estate supply :

• Supply of office space recently grew with the creation and expansion of new business parks including Le Tenenio and Laroiseau. Six new programmes totalling 20,000 sq. m are due to be completed in 2008.
• Supply of new light industrial premises is developing in Pentaparc, the Trehuinec zone, and the Prat industrial estate.
• Retail activity is expanding in two directions: in the town centre with the creation of the “Nouvelle Coutume” shopping centre, and in the western outskirts of Vannes with the creation of a mall of over 15,000 sq. m that includes a shopping unit of over 3,000 sq. m for which Kermarrec CBRE is mandated.
• The investment market is strong and although it is for the most part a regional market, it is increasingly opening up to investors from all over France.
