It enjoys an excellent location near the epicentre of Europe, 30 km from Basel in Switzerland and 50 km from Freiburg in Germany. The triangle formed by these three cities represents a catchment area of two million inhabitants favourable to new retail sites and substantial logistics flows.
The area has high-quality infrastructures: second largest airport in France for freight, the new East TGV and Rhine-Rhône TGV high-speed train lines, and the creation of 50,000 sq. m of office space in 5 years. Competitive clusters in the automotive industry and research helped fuel take-up of the 50,000 sq. m of light industrial space in 2006.
